Wingfield was established by Dr. Anne Wills Bowers and her husband, Jefferson Dillon Bowers. Dr. Bowers was raised in Thomson, Georgia. She is a fifth generation physician in this area and is proud of her family’s long standing service to the community.
She is partnered with her father, Dr. Joe Wills, at McDuffie Surgical Clinic. Dr. Wills founded McDuffie Surgical Clinic in 1990 and has served as Thomson’s leading general surgeon ever since. Dr. Bowers attended Sewanee University where she graduated with honors while competing as a member of the women’s varsity basketball team. She was then awarded her medical degree from Lincoln Memorial University – Debusk College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her general surgery residency training in Long Island, New York and is currently a board-certified general surgeon. Dr. Bowers is married to Jefferson Dillon Bowers, an entrepreneur and decorated combat veteran and Green Beret. Dillon received his Bachelor’s degree from the University of North Georgia and his Master’s Degree from Harvard University during his wife’s residency training in New York. They reside here in Thomson with their son, Cullen, and are very excited to continue serving the local Thomson community and the greater CSRA.
Dr. Bowers and her husband created Wingfield in order to bring new healthcare services to the community at an affordable price.They are fully invested in the health of the Thomson community and wholeheartedly believe that Wingfield’s service offerings will assist patients in achieving their aesthetic and wellness related goals.
